2007 to Present - National Ice Skating Association
IMP initially signed a five year agreement to produce a media rich online experience for people globally interested in British Ice Skating. The experienced included an online shop, online live streaming and an on demand portal, plus a membership based Learn to Skate Scheme to support the Skate UK brand, complete with instructional video learning for each of the ten stages of Skate UK. The site also offered information on the disciplines of Figure, Synchro and Short Track skating, and included a section for coaching, and judging.
The site today, generates an average of 2K visitors per day from over 40 countries worldwide and has a user database of approx 8K including its NISA & SKATE UK membership. It has delivered two Junior Grand Prix live streaming events, attracting audiences in 12 different countries, creates a reliable DVD and media sourcing service to skaters, the general public, and press from events (and is a profitable format), delivers the British Figure Skating Championships, British Synchro. Championships, British Adult Championships, British Solo Dance Championships, and more recently The British Short Track Speed Skating Championships to both live and on demand audiences complete with advertising opportunities and commentary.
2008 to Present - Silver Blades
To develop and maintain a strong online web presence to support their public skate, learn to skate and Birthday Party products. We also create both an online and physical magazine for their customers, responsible for all design and print, actively work with the corporate identity and identify any branding opportunities. We have designed e-shots and text notifications and we are responsible for their monthly delivery.
2009 - iSKATE Magazine
In the three years that IMP have been running the magazine we have worked hard to develop a much brighter and professional view of competitive and commercial ice skating. The magazine has its own personnel infrastructure, with its own editor, designer, contributors and sales team. Today, the magazine serves a global subscription list with the physical magazine, and an emerging digital online version. The website attracts over 2K of unique visitors per week, to discuss and be informed on sensible issues relating to British Ice Skating. We have a plan to extend the magazine into other ice and snow sports for the future - encompassing speed skating, luge, curling, bob sleigh and other niche British cold sports.
IMP developed a range of on/off ice clothing four years ago. The range is successful and sells regularly in rinks both in the UK and abroad. The website is very active and attracts purchases as far as Japan and Australia.
World Championship Short Track
In 2010, IMP was approached to project manage elements of the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships at Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield. Our main contribution was in design and marketing. We created the event logo, point of sale (posters/flyers), website, Facebook site, various pieces of staged video, and negotiated at regular meetings with event partners Welcome to Yorkshire, Welcome to Sheffield, Sheffield Major Events, and UKSport. IMP supplied all branded event clothing ranging from t-shirts, sweatshirts, fleeces, meal tickets and official programmes. We also built the award podium, and negotiated with the ISU to create and install the event banners.
IMP UK has been responsible for the following ice shows: Dancing Queen, Chiller, Ice Party Champions and Wizard of Oz.
